Wonderful Times is a genuine tribute to rough and rusty sample based hip-hop instrumental beat tapes. The productions pay dues to the late 90s from the indie-rap era to the abstract art of today. Nevertheless, the songs are filled with drama, beautiful melodies and well picked samples.

Since 2006, ZOËN has continuously been a prolific beat-maker, whether he was collaborating with your favorite rappers from all over the place or producing his solo stuff and countless projects. For ‘Wonderful Times’ he went digging through tons of dusty old records and spend endless hours chopping samples in the studio (his bedroom). ZOËN has a precise taste for melodic and melancholic soundscapes, thus he is heavily inspired by icons like DJ Premier, Sixtoo and Madlib. Cuz in the end it’s all drums and drama.
