Very literally a tour diary in song form, the lyrics
for this song are taken directly from the pages of
Reindeer's notebook entries during his tour through
North America, and features myriad images from the
open road.
Guelph, Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Portland, New York
and Washington DC are all mentioned along the route
which shows us scenes of the open road as well as the
innards of the city centres, districts, zones and
suburbs.
It is a spiralling, dizzying odyssey, which flashes
by in cut up snapshots, that evoke the flickering of
ones thoughts as one gazes out from a car, bus, or
train window. Images from the field, jostling for
position in the fore of ones waking thoughts.
Andy Skopes Remix:
Metalheadz producer wunderkind Andy Skopes, known for
his supreme technical superiority within the true DnB
scene, brings us a Hospital Records style rework of
Reindeer's album title track; seamlessly melding the
full vocal raps alongside rolling Amen sections that
juxtapose each other so effortlessly, it is almost
genre-bending in its excellence and completeness of
vision. Classic.
Edison Remix:
The legendary-in-his-own-lifetime super-producer
Edison, behind some of the most important 667Guild
productions, displays his myriad skills effortlessly
once more on his re-exploration of the 'Field
Reports...' We find ourselves awash with shimmering
tones, caught in a head nod mid-section and then exit
through a sound-field where jazz rhythms meet soaring
granular textures. Not for the uninitiated, this is
beat-mastery on a grand scale. Flawless.
Valance Drakes Deconstruction:
Sent from the future, super-producer Valance Drakes
mystifies, astounds and mesmerises in equal measure
with his simply stunning deconstruction of the 'Field
Reports...' which displays all of his hallmark
excellence whilst retaining all of the sense of
movement and exploration of the original. As if
refracted through a prism of impossible geometry, the
remix shimmers and glints in myriad granular waves.
Exceptional.

Homeboy Sandman is a peddler of Christian evangelical tropes too, making him a total bore. like who fucking needs joel osteen on the mic. evangelical christians in the u.s. are simply obnoxious fuckers, Jeremy Leaming

Cutting edge music from a cutting edge master. Just writing and reflecting... Simple but powerful. Gotta listen several times to absorb the many layers of material. Love this kind of craftsmanship. And that bass groove! acuzan
